The client commissioned Mikano to design and build a space that could combine additional living and work space. The building will be situated on a private island within the grounds of the client's property accessible by a bridge. The client had considered several options prior to commissioning Mikano from a traditional build to log cabins and mobile homes.Mikano were able to engineer a solution that required the unit to be stick built on site due to access restrictions, the scheduled build time to completion is two weeks. Built on screw in pilings and manufactured using galvanised steel, cold-formed profiles, utilising composite panels Single ply roof. Aluminium and cedar Architectural façade system.
